Conspiracy theories are everywhere these days, and Uber Eats leaned fully into that obsession with its Super Bowl 60 commercial, starring Matthew McConaughey, Bradley Cooper, and Parker Posey.
In the ad, the Oscar-winning McConaughey delivers an over-the-top monologue as he tries to convince his friends that everything related to football somehow comes from food. What starts as a playful theory quickly spirals into a wildly unexpected rabbit hole.
“Players’ names: C.J. Ham, Malik Ham,” McConaughey says. “Je’Rod Cherry… Don Cherry…”
McConaughey goes on to argue that goalposts were inspired by broken yellow plastic forks — and even suggests that the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, was designed to resemble a juicer.
“Think about it,” he tells Cooper. “Field goal posts — designed after a fork.”
Cooper, clearly unconvinced, responds simply: “Can’t be true.”
The spot plays up McConaughey’s intense delivery and commitment to the absurd, turning a ridiculous theory into one of the more memorable and humorous commercials of Super Bowl 60.
