Fresh claims involving Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates have surfaced after British tabloids reported on excerpts from newly released U.S. Justice Department documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The reports allege that the files contain writings attributed to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, in which he claimed that Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease following sexual encounters with “Russian girls.” According to the documents cited, Epstein asserted that Gates sought antibiotics that could be secretly given to his then-wife, Melinda Gates. The allegations appear in materials described as Epstein-authored emails or draft correspondence.

The Sun reported that the passages seem to be drafts of letters Epstein was composing rather than messages he actually sent. One draft was written as though it came from Gates’s former adviser, Boris Nikolic, around the time Nikolic resigned from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Both The Sun and the Daily Mail also referenced additional Epstein-attributed passages alleging that Nikolic became involved in a marital dispute between Bill and Melinda Gates. Those claims suggest Nikolic was pressured into actions characterized as ethically questionable or potentially illegal, including helping Gates obtain medication and assisting with arranging meetings with other women.

The tabloids stressed that Epstein’s claims have not been independently verified.

Gates has strongly denied the allegations. In statements quoted by the newspapers, a spokesperson for Gates called the claims “absolutely absurd and completely false,” saying the documents reflect Epstein’s frustration over failing to maintain a relationship with Gates and what the spokesperson described as Epstein’s efforts to defame him.

The reports also reiterated that Gates has previously acknowledged meeting Epstein but has consistently denied any wrongdoing, stating that he regretted the association after learning more about Epstein’s criminal conduct.

In addition, The Sun reported that the Justice Department release includes undated photographs showing Epstein and Gates together, including one image in which Gates appears alongside a woman whose face has been redacted.

The Justice Department is in the process of releasing more than three million pages of records, along with thousands of videos and photographs, connected to Epstein and his interactions with wealthy and influential individuals. By Friday evening, more than 600,000 documents had been published online, while millions more identified for possible release remain sealed, drawing political criticism.

The initial batch of files includes Epstein’s communications with prominent figures, as well as internal correspondence among investigators following his death in a New York jail in 2019. Multiple official investigations have concluded that Epstein died by suicide. Epstein was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges in July 2019 and was found dead in his cell just over a month later.
