Rock the Country Festival Canceled in South Carolina After Shinedown Exit
Just days after Shinedown withdrew from the lineup, the Kid Rock–led Rock the Country festival has canceled its South Carolina stop.
The festival was scheduled to take place July 25–26 in Anderson, South Carolina, but organizers called off the event due to “unforeseen circumstances,”
Anderson County Responds to Cancellation
Anderson County officials expressed disappointment over the decision, noting the festival’s strong impact on the local economy in previous years.
“Anderson County has been proud to host Rock the Country for the past two years,” county administrator Rusty Burns said in a statement. “The event was a huge success, drawing tens of thousands of visitors and creating a multimillion-dollar economic impact on the Upstate.”
Burns added that the festival showcased Anderson County as a top-tier venue for major entertainment events.
“Of course, we are disappointed that Rock the Country will not return this year,” he said. “We are already planning additional major events and look forward to exciting announcements to come.”
Star-Studded Lineup Planned for Anderson
According to the festival’s website, Rock the Country lineups vary by city. The Anderson stop was set to feature major names across rock, country, and hip-hop.
Headliners included:
- Kid Rock
- Jason Aldean
Other scheduled performers included Creed, Shinedown, Brantley Gilbert, Ludacris, Gretchen Wilson, Parmalee, Morgan Wade, Chase Matthew, Lakeview, Fox N’ Vead, and more.
It remains unclear whether the cancellation will impact other Rock the Country festival dates in 2026.
