Trump Launches TrumpRx WebsiteTrump Launches TrumpRx Website

The prices reflect discounts the White House says it negotiated with more than a dozen drugmakers under a “most favored nation” pricing policy.

President Donald Trump on Thursday unveiled a new government website, TrumpRx, designed to help Americans purchase prescription medications at lower prices.

“This is a very big deal,” Trump said during a Feb. 5 White House event. “People are going to save a lot of money and be healthy.”

Standing at a podium with TrumpRx.gov displayed behind him, the president highlighted a list of medications he said would be offered at reduced prices, including fertility treatments, insulin and weight-loss drugs. The website launched with more than 40 medications available.

Trump was joined at the event by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Mehmet Oz, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and National Design Studio Director Joe Gebbia. Gebbia, the co-founder of Airbnb, demonstrated the website’s features alongside Oz during an informercial-style presentation.

“Today you can now get access to these discounted — steeply discounted — prices,” Oz said. “All the hard work the president and the administration have done is now yours, but you have to go to TrumpRx.gov.”

Gebbia showed how users can search for medications, print discount coupons or add them to a digital wallet. He highlighted a fertility drug listed at an 83% discount.

“Mr. President, one in three families is having trouble having a baby,” Oz told Trump. “We’re going to have a lot of Trump babies with these costs.”

Trump promoted the website as a key tool for consumers as he faces growing pressure to address rising cost-of-living concerns.

According to the White House, the prices on TrumpRx reflect discounts negotiated with more than a dozen pharmaceutical companies, including Amgen, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol Myers Squibb, Eli Lilly, EMD Serono, Genentech, Gilead, GSK, Merck, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer and Sanofi.

In a series of Oval Office announcements throughout 2025, Trump said his administration reached agreements with major drugmakers to sell discounted medications to Medicaid recipients and directly to consumers through TrumpRx. In exchange, the administration agreed to suspend planned tariffs on the pharmaceutical industry.

Pfizer was the first company to announce a deal on Sept. 30. The company said patients would be able to buy Pfizer drugs at an average discount of about 50%, covering most of its primary care medications and select specialty treatments.

“By taking this bold step, we’re ending the era of global price-gouging at the expense of American families, and we’re making America healthy again,” Trump said at the time.

Trump has said participating drug companies agreed to sell prescription drugs in the U.S. at prices no higher than those charged in comparable countries. The agreements followed an executive order Trump signed in March establishing the “most favored nation” drug pricing policy.

After the Pfizer deal, Trump announced additional agreements with more than a dozen drugmakers in October, November and December. In November, he revealed deals with Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to lower prices for the weight-loss drugs Wegovy and Zepbound and expand Medicare coverage for older adults.

On Dec. 19, Trump announced further agreements with Amgen, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol Myers Squibb, Genentech, Gilead, GSK, Merck, Novartis and Sanofi.

Most working-age Americans receive health insurance and prescription drug coverage through their employers. Consumers who buy coverage through the Affordable Care Act, as well as seniors and low-income families enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid, typically receive drug discounts through their insurance plans.

Uninsured Americans, however, often must pay full out-of-pocket prices for prescription medications.

Other consumer platforms, such as GoodRx and entrepreneur Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus Drugs, also offer discounted prescription medications. Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly sell popular weight-loss drugs through their own pharmacies, major retail chains and online discount platforms. A valid prescription from a health care provider is required to purchase these medications.
